Court closure

The San Diego Superior Court will completely close for all services during Cesar Chavez Day, March 31, 2020, and will reopen to continue providing only emergency services on April 1, 2020.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Court has suspended non-emergency services from March 17, 2020, through April 3, 2020, and is providing certain emergency services during this time pursuant to General Order Nos. 031820-34 and 032420-36 (Orders are posted on www.sdcourt.ca.gov in the COVID-19 and Court Operations site). However, Cesar Chavez Day is a statutorily designated judicial holiday, which is separate from the Court’s General Order.

The Court is normally completely closed to the public on Cesar Chavez Day under usual circumstances, and this practice is not impacted by the issuance of the General Order. As always, individuals seeking emergency services on Cesar Chavez Day should contact law enforcement
