San Diego Superior Court Announces Planned Website Closure on Monday, November 9th, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The San Diego Superior Court will shut down its website (sdcourt.ca.gov) for routine maintenance on Monday, November 9 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. The website closure will affect all San Diego Superior Court webpages.

San Diego Superior Court Resumes Civil Court Trials

The COVID-19 pandemic caused nearly all non-emergency functions of the San Diego Superior Court to come to a halt in March 2020, however, services have steadily resumed over the past several months. The latest resumed service is in-person bench trials for civil cases, where a judge makes the final decision in the case rather than a jury.

San Diego Superior Court Provides Several Options for People with Outstanding Infraction Citations

This week, the San Diego Superior Court began mailing notices to people with past-due infraction citations, offering an additional 30-day grace period to resolve the outstanding court matter. Those who should expect to receive notices would have had appearance or fine due dates from March through mid-September 2020.

San Diego Superior Court Expands E-Filing Options

Beginning October 1, the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego will now provide additional e-filing service providers for members of the public and attorneys who wish to file Civil and Probate cases with the Court electronically. E-filing saves time by allowing parties to electronically file documents from personal computers, rather than bringing paperwork to the courthouse for processing.
