The California Constitution establishes a judicial system of courts, including the trial courts, the appellate courts, and a supreme court. The San Diego Superior Court serves all people in San Diego County as one of the state's 58 trial courts. The court has jurisdiction over all criminal cases including felonies, misdemeanors and infractions; all civil cases, family law, spousal support and child support, probate, conservatorships, mental health, juvenile law and small claims.
