Small Claims Mediation Conferences

Mediation is a conflict resolution process in which a trained neutral mediator facilitates communication between the parties in order to assist them in reaching a mutually acceptable resolution of all or part of their dispute. Mediation is confidential and voluntary.

How to Appear for Your Mediation Conference

To Appear In-Person:
If you are appearing in person for your trial and all parties to your case agree to try and resolve the case through mediation, the judicial officer will direct the parties to report to the Mediation Conference room. Please report to Room 251 on the second floor of the Hall of Justice.

To Appear Remotely:
If you are appearing virtually for your trial and all parties to your case agree to try and resolve the case through mediation, the judicial officer will direct you to report to a Mediation Conference. You can attend the Mediation Conference by video or audio conference using the free Microsoft Teams Application. The courtroom staff will inform you as to which Mediation Conference room you are assigned.
